Lose 10 Pounds In A Week
So I’ve been on a weight loss journey since the birth of my second child. I gained 60lbs with him and now feel I need to reclaim my body back. It’s been quite the challenge as I’m also that small percentage (approximately 3%) of folks who also has an inactive thyroid and suffer from hypothyroidism.

I wanted to lose 10 pounds in a week then I read some of the literature out there on hypothyroidism states that people who suffer with the condition have to work 10 times harder than the regular Jane would have to work when it comes to weight loss.
It was upon reading that information that I decided that I was unrealistic and if I was going to be successful in any weight loss, I would need a team of people to inspire me, motivate me, challenge me, and provide me with realistic and researched information.
It was at that time that I asked my husband to get me a unique Christmas gift – a personal trainer. After meeting with her and getting her credentials (please use someone who is a certified trainer), I began the journey of physical fitness.
Remember, I was excited because I had basically been inactive up until that point, so now I was ready to kick the weight off with some intense training. Now you would think the weight would be falling off of me with cardio workouts, weights, and an overall butt kicking 2 times a week, but that was not the case.
I even thought within the first week or so, that I could miraculously lose 10 pounds in a week…well that was not the case. At that point my trainer recommended a product that she also used for guidance. She told me to check out ‘Fit Yummy Mummy‘. It is a comprehensive system that gives you a step by step process that includes nutrition, exercise and lifestyle.
Upon the realisation and the REINFORCEMENT from my trainer that I also needed to clean up my eating (how many times can I stand getting it yelled into my ear while I’m working out), I went to my dear friend Michelle who is a registered dietician and we exchanged some services.
I needed a dietician to assess me and give me recommendations for my weight loss, and she needed some assistance in setting up her real estate goals – no problem!!!
So my first question to her was, how to lose 10 pounds in a week. At the time I was feeling frustrated by my slow progress and wanted to jump start this weight loss so I could see some results. Well, she gently took me under her wing and expressed, “If you think you can lose 10 pounds in a week then you’ve gotta get real!
Your body is close to 70% water so any herbal-starvation, protein-starvation or cabbage soup diet weight loss is mainly gonna be water loss. Sorry chicka, not the fat.
There’s no quick and dirty way to lose 10 pounds in a week… so go on… change your train of thought right now and give you body a chance to win this battle. Instead think ‘I can lose 10 pounds in a month’. You can lose 10 pounds in a month without starvation, taking diet pills and the chances of you keeping it off permanently is also higher as you are teaching your body to adjust to the weight loss.
Yes, a month!
Think about it, you’re not dumb and give yourself some credit here! How long did it take to put on
those 10 pounds? Unless you were shovelling lard into your mouth everyday then I bet it was longer than a week. Do me a favour and google ‘effective weight loss’ and NOT ‘how to lose 10 pounds in a week’ unless you just wanna lose water and gain it all back at a later date!
So as you can tell, there is not a healthy effective way of how to lose 10 pounds in a week… I gently cried about the no quick fix rule about weight loss, dusted myself off, and now am foraging ahead with my team of weight loss advisors and my super fit yummy mummy guide, which will create a healthier, stronger and sassier me to enjoy by all!
